“I’ve been a regular customer of Salters for over two years now, from their fine dining at home through to their Christmas dinner offering, picnic boxes (incl. for a baby shower with eight guests), afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and participating in their cookery courses (where I’ve visited their kitchen and seen where the ‘magic happens’). I’ve sampled everything!
Salters have also provided the catering for two events. The first being my son’s naming ceremony where we had a three-course hot meal - plus homemade breads and petit fours - for 30 close family. The food (as always) was exceptional under quite challenging cooking circumstances (Salters essentially had to setup a pop-up kitchen in a field for us but Ian rose to the occasion)…and the staff and service were brilliant.
More recently Salters provided a cold buffet for my son’s birthday party, again c. 30 guests, with a delicious selection of antipasti, salads, tarts, sandwiches etc. and incredible dessert and fruit. Everyone commented on the food.
Robyn is extremely responsive in communications and very diligent when planning the finer details of the events. She is organised and thinks of everything, which is greatly appreciated. There’s lot of discussion and flexibility around the menu incl. provision for any dietary requirement (for our events we’ve needed to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy intolerant and some fussy nans!) The food itself is always flavourful, plentiful and beautifully presented.
I’m a firm believer in supporting small, local businesses and Robyn and Ian are a great example of this. They are both passionate about bringing people together through food. I’d highly recommend and indeed have done to friends who have also been impressed with Salters.”
